This follows A Hand to Hold Onto in the M7-SoA crossover A/U. Thanks again to Nancy and Marnie.

Day fifteen evening:

"I want to go to the clubhouse," Vin said when he finished the plate of spaghetti. "I gotta talk to Ezra."

Josiah mopped the last bit of sauce from his plate with a piece of bread. He finished his dinner and took both of their plates into the kitchen, rinsed them, and then put them in the dishwasher.

Vin followed him into the kitchen. "Will you give me a ride?" he asked.

Josiah closed the dishwasher. "Beer?" he offered. He opened the refrigerator and took two out.

"I don't want a fucking beer!" Vin answered. "I want to go to the clubhouse. Are you gonna take me or do I gotta hitch?"

"That depends," Josiah said and put the extra beer back into the refrigerator.

"On what?" Vin demanded.

"Do you understand what is likely to happen when you get there?" Josiah asked taking a drink of his beer.

"They figure I owe 'em two weeks worth of puttin' out and they're gonna be linin' up to get their turns," Vin said flatly.

"Do you think you're in any shape for that?" Josiah asked.

"Do you think I'm gonna be in any shape for it tomorrow or the next day?" Vin asked. "I don't show up tonight, they're gonna be addin' more to what they think I owe 'em. If I can work a deal with Ezra tonight, I can start workin' off some of what those guys think I owe 'em and what SAMCRO says I owe 'em."

Josiah nodded and put the half-finished beer on "Alright," he said. "I'll take you."

"Thanks," Vin said. "Not just for takin' me. For last night, too. I owe you."

"No. You don't," Josiah said.

"It's been a long time since I didn't have to pay for my bed," Vin said. "I owe you," he repeated.
