Summary: Vin overhears Casey and JD breaking up at Halloween party.

Author’s Notes: Feedback makes me write more. More feedback, More stories. I have a few more stories on the way.

It was Halloween and Buck convinced Chris to host a Halloween party. The truth was Chris lost a bet. Vin was heading to the garage for more beer when he overheard the young couple. Vin stepped back into the shadows where he could listen without being seen.

"JD, do you remember the last time you kissed me?" Casey asked softly without any trace of anger, "You don’t remember, do you?"

"I’m sorry, Casey," JD shook his head no.

"That’s OK. I really don’t either. In fact the last time I can remember being kissed by you was last Christmas when I walked under the mistletoe at your office and everyone kissed me."

"Yeah, and Josiah blew raspberries on your cheek," JD laughed.

"That was funny but I remember your lips barely touched me," Casey thought back to the air kiss she received. Everyone kissed her but only Vin, Chris and Ezra kissed her on the lips.

She could remember every detail of Vin’s lips on hers. The kiss was brief but it left a impact on her. Her heart raced and she could barely remember to breathe. He held her face in his hands and kissed her soundly on the lips before he abruptly disappeared in Chris’s office.

She barely felt or noticed the six other kisses she received.

"You looked like you enjoyed Vin’s kiss," JD stated.

"Did that bother you?"

"No," JD admitted.

"Don’t you think there’s something wrong with you not caring if I enjoyed kissing someone else? Even your friend?"

"Yeah, the only thing I felt was I didn’t want you to get hurt because Vin was out of your league," JD told her.

"Yeah, I know Vin wanting me is as likely as Buck not liking women, Ezra hating gambling or Chris deciding to become a ballerina," Casey said ruefully.

"I don’t want you to get hurt," JD said.

"I know. That’s why we should stop dating and just be friends. That’s all we have been," Casey said.

"I know. I felt it, too. I care about you and I just didn’t want to hurt you," JD ran his hands through his hair.

"You’ll hurt me more pretending you’re my boyfriend," Casey told him.

"I don’t want to do that," JD said softly. "If your going to pretend you would rather pretend it is Vin?"

"No, I don’t want to pretend anymore. Fantasizing about Vin is nice, but I am nineteen years old and it is time I find myself someone who wants and loves me," Casey had decided it was time to start living her life instead of holding on to what could never be.

"I want that for you, too," JD hugged her. "I do want to be your friend."

"Me, too. I don’t want to just say we’d be friends," Casey said letting go.

"We will be friends. We are friends," JD stated firmly. "Do you still want to stay? I could drive you home if you want,"

"No, I am OK. Besides my friend made me this costume and He’d be mad if I didn’t show it off,"

"He?" JD smiled and wagged his eyebrows at her.

"Emmett made it," Casey informed him.

"Oh, yeah, the gay guy. Shall we go in," JD offered her his arm.

"I’ll meet you in there," Casey smiled before JD turned to enter the house.

"That was long overdue," Casey said to herself taking a deep breath.

"I’d say so," Vin said startling Casey enough to jump a mile.

"Vin! How long have you been standing there?" Casey turned red with embarrassment. The man needed a bell around his neck. This was worse then breaking up with JD. "How much did you hear?"

"You’re not out of my league," Vin said and to prove it he pulled her close for a deep passionate kiss.

Casey’s world was spinning. One moment she felt embarrassment over him knowing she had a hopeless crush on him and the next she felt herself plastered against his body and his tongue in her mouth.

Casey melted. She leaned in to Vin and let him support her weight as she kissed him back. Her arms circled his waist as his kiss swept her away. She had no idea how long he kissed her for but the sound of a car driving up made Vin step back.

Ezra stepped out of his Jag and gave the pair an odd look. He was dressed like Legolas from Lord of the Rings and he wore it well. He grabbed his bow and turned to the couple before locking his car.

"That’s a great costume," Casey said barely finding her voice.

"Thank you, Casey. I will see you both inside," Ezra gave Vin a veiled look letting him know he saw the passionate embrace before stepping inside.

Vin smiled at Casey before pulling her into his arms, "About finding someone who wants and loves you, He’s standing right in front of you."

"Vin, you love me?" Casey’s eyes widened.

"Yeah, I have been crazy about you for a very long time," Vin admitted.

"I love you, too!" Casey wrapped her arms around him and kissed him.

"After you have some time to get over breaking up with JD do you want to be my girlfriend," Vin asked shyly.

"No, I want to be your girlfriend now. I don’t need any time." Casey said without hesitation.

Vin felt his heart drop at the word no, only to rise again as she finished speaking.

"You sure?"

"YES! Kiss me!" Casey demanded.

"Demanding," Vin laughed before kissing her so hard they fell against Ezra’s car setting off the alarm.

Ezra glared at them when he poked his head out of the door to turn off the alarm with his remote.

"OOPS," Casey said as they went inside.

"Casey, I’m going to go talk to JD. I want to make sure he hears about us from me,"

"OK, do you want me to come," Casey asked.

"No, I need to do this," Vin stole a kiss before leaving.

Casey took off her coat and hanged it in Chris’s closet. She was glad they were mirror doors so she could straighten her dress. Her friend made her a fairy costume made out of many layers of soft gauzy material.

It fit her perfectly. A little too perfectly. It showed off her full firm breasts and she could see her nipples pressing against the material. She felt self conscious about it but Emmett assured her it was very modest neckline despite the ample amount of cleavage.

The skirt of the purple dress dipped past her knees but the sides were as high as her upper thighs. Wisps of gauze distorted the view of her shapely toned legs. On her feet she wore high healed sandals with straps at the ankles.

Emmett convinced her to put a temporary red color in her hair and had it arranged in carefree ringlets held with a glittery clip at the top of her head with the curls trailing down her back.

What was most spectacular was the huge glittery purple wings on her back. Three feet tall and nearly five feet wide turned a nice costume into a work of art. Shiny beads were sewn in the material for a sparkling effect.

"What an amazing costume!" Inez said coming to for a closer look, "Casey? I hardly recognized you."

"Thanks, You look great, too. You don’t think this dress is too skimpy?" Casey looked down at herself.

"God, no. JD is going to just love it," Inez winked looking dazzling in her female pirate costume.

"We just broke up," Casey said.

"I’m sorry. Maybe he will change his mind when he sees you," Inez said kindly.

"I hope not," Casey said as they joined the party.

Casey had caused a sensation when she walked in. She felt a little embarrassed by all the attention but soon relaxed and waited to see Vin. She wanted to see his reaction.

"So, you are OK with me dating Casey," Vin asked one more time.

"Yes for the hundredth time. I’m just shocked. I didn’t see it coming. OH MY GOD! It was that dress that made you see Casey differently." JD’s eyes bugged out of his head.

"No, I have wanted Casey since...oh my," Vin stared at Casey.

"Yeah, well, go get her before someone else does," JD laughed at Vin’s reaction pushing him towards her.

Vin went straight to Casey and without a word pulled her in his arms and kissed her passionately in front of everyone. Every guest had stopped what they were doing and stared at them.

"You look great but you changed your hair," Vin ran his hand through her curls.

"It's a temperary color," Casey told him.

"Good. I love you just the way you are. You don’t need add to it," Vin said as he lowered his mouth to hers and they were soon lost to their kiss.

The party guests kept looking between JD who was smiling and shaking his head at his friends kissing in the middle of Chris’s living room. It was a strange sight anyway. It wasn’t every day you saw a fairy kissing a Jedi knight so passionately that it caused most everyone to blush.

Chris, dressed as a gunfighter from the old west - the same costume he wore every year - stopped and stared at the scene in front of him, nearly dropping the case of beer Vin forgot to get.

Chris thought of this past Christmas when Vin had such a powerful reaction to a simple kiss. At least it seemed that way to him. After giving her a quick kiss he joined Vin in his office. Chris nearly had to restrain him from going back out there and ravishing the innocent beauty. He groaned thinking he was going to have to stop a fight when he saw JD smiling.

"Mr. Larabee, do you know what’s going on here?" Ezra asked taking a beer out of the open box.

"Not a clue," He handed the case to Josiah who came dressed as Gandalf and Chris interrupted the couple where Vin was close to undressing Casey.

"Vin, as much as this show is appealing to my voyeuristic nature. Do you really want an audience?" Chris had to pull Vin’s hand away from Casey’s thigh where it was inching higher.

"OOPS," Vin smiled embarrassed.

"Go get some air," Chris suggested and was some what amused and concerned when the couple disappeared together.

"JD, what is going on?" Buck asked as Vin’s other team members joined Chris in the kitchen.

"Vin overheard Casey and me breaking up and we mentioned how she had a huge crush on Vin but we didn’t think he would want her that way." JD laughed as he mentioned Casey’s ballerina comment.

"That’s never going to happen," Chris said with a glare.

"You broke up with her wearing that?" Nathan asked wearing a Star Trek uniform.

"She was wearing her coat at the time," JD shrugged.

"Wow. Vin must not have known what hit him," Josiah said.

"No, she was still wearing the coat when I drove up and they were locked in a passionate embrace. Then they nearly violated my jag." Ezra failed to hide the amusement in his voice as he complained.

"You OK with this?" Buck asked JD poking him in the chest.

"Yeah Zorro, I am fine. Casey and I haven’t been more then friends for a long time," JD said.

"Well, now that your a single guy, I’ll have to introduce you to some lovely ladies I know." Buck pushed his cape behind him and put an arm around the younger agent as he described the ladies various features.

They left Chris alone in the kitchen when Mary came in. Chris and Mary had been dating for a few months but it was still casual.

"Hi handsome, care for a drink?" Mary was dressed as a saloon girl from the wild west.

"Not right now. Have anything else to offer?" Chris leered at her.

"Anything you like." Mary was enjoying flirting with the handsome gunslinger. "Always had a soft spot for a man in black."

Chris captured Mary’s lips in a fiery kiss, "Stay the night?"

"Love too."
