AUTHOR'S NOTES: This ficlet is in response to a challenge (start a fic with "It happened this way") that was issued on the Mag7/Las Vegas yahoo group. Thank you to Sue for reading over my draft and to Antoinette/RiverOtter for betaing the story. A special thanks to Sarah for creating this wonderful AU for us to play in.

"Chris, it happened this way," started JD Dunne as he stood in his boss's office. The Security Chief was seated behind his desk and looking none too pleased about the recent actions of the youngest member on his security team.

"JD, this better be good," warned Chris.

The computer specialist licked his lips as he started his explanation. . . . "Well, it all started when I was on my security sweep. . ."

One hour earlier. . .

JD was making his usual security sweep of the Montecito's main level. After checking out the hotel lobby and stopping briefly to talk to Pit Boss, Ezra Standish, in the casino, he headed outside. He swung by the family pool, pleased to find everything was quiet and then headed to the adult pool area.

It was at this point he noticed a very upset curvaceous redhead who was topless, only clad in a skimpy bikini bottom, standing by her lounge chair.

"Ma'am, is everything alright?" asked JD while trying to keep his gaze on her face and not at her nearly nude state.

"Yes . . . no," said the distraught young woman. "It's just my boyfriend can be so . . . frustrating some times, you know?"

JD nodded and she continued, "Larry, my boyfriend, says I'm not big enough." She gestured to her bare breasts. "I just had these done and he still thinks their not big enough. Can you believe that?"

"Yes . . . no," stammered JD who was wondering how in the world he got mixed up in this situation and wishing he had the ability to just disappear.

"They look big enough, don't they?" she asked, gazing at him expectedly while waiting for a response from him.

A pink blush started to cover JD's cheeks and he glanced downward at her bosom and then back up to her face and replied quickly, "Yes, Ma'am, they do."

"He also said they were too hard," declared the woman with her hands on her hips. "They used the highest-quality implants when they did the procedure and they definitely don't feel hard . . . here, see for yourself." She grabbed his hands and brought them up to her bare breasts for him to feel for himself.

"Ma'am, I really shouldn't be doing this," replied JD as his blush turned a deep red. He tried to pull his hands away but she had a death-grip on them that wouldn't allow it.

"See, they are nice and firm but not too hard, right?" she said.

"Ummm," started a tongue-tied JD as he finally managed to extradite his hands from her chest. "Right . . . they feel real good . . . fine. . . not too hard at all. . ."

"I'm going to call Larry and tell him," declared the redhead triumphantly as she turned back to her lounge chair and reached for her bag that held her cell phone. Meanwhile, JD turned and quickly retreated back inside, moving as fast as possible from the pool area. While he was making his way through the casino back to the surveillance room, he heard the distinct voice of the Security Chief in his ear. "JD, come see me in my office immediately."

'Aww hell,' thought JD who immediately knew his boss had spotted his pool encounter on the security cameras and now was in big trouble. He pressed the button on his communication device and replied, "Yes, sir, on my way."

+++++++

"So, that is what happened," said JD as he took a deep breath to calm his nerves while standing very still in front of his boss.

Chris Larabee shook his head in disbelief while rubbing his forehead. The story was definitely a crazy one, he thought, too crazy for JD to make up. Finally after a few moments of silence he said, "Ok, JD, just don't let it happen again. Keep your hands off the guests. Understand?"

"Yes sir," replied JD quickly.

"Ok, get back to work," said Chris as he dismissed him.

"Yes sir," replied JD as he turned and headed out of the office and back to monitor the surveillance cameras. He'll let Vin handle the rest of the security sweeps for the day. He definitely didn't want to run into that redhead again.
