Author's Notes: This is the second M7 story I've written, but chronologically it's the first (so far): it precedes "Redemption" and follows the TV ep. "Nemesis." There are references to that and other segments, but no real spoilers.
Marcus Bentann and his Regulators are figments of my imagination, but the background information about the Kansas Border War is accurate, and deeds ascribed to the band actually occurred much as I've portrayed them.
