"It's a beautiful day?" Vin offered to Buck's growling comment about what was good about this trip to Blue Water.

"There is that," the big gunslinger smiled at the younger man, a memory of their last trip on this trail springing to mind.

How things had changed! From utter loneliness and despair to a happiness that Buck was superstitiously afraid might not last, but that didn't stop him from enjoying every moment of it. He smiled once more as he remembered what had happened in Blue Water itself last time, and he knew that this time it would be more relaxed, more...Buck wasn't sure it was the right word, but he let himself indulge in it this once...romantic.

"Yes, this day is very beautiful," Buck murmured as he gazed at Vin's lush mouth, wanting that mouth wrapped around him as Chris thrust deeply inside him, driving him wild with pleasure. When they got back to Four Corners, he promised himself.

The ride to Blue Water was generally straightforward. There weren't many places for someone with an ulterior motive to hide on the road, and the men allowed their thoughts to drift.

As Vin's horse picked his way over a slightly rough patch of ground, a rat sidled from behind a rock. Vin shuddered, he hated rats. His horse's leg brushed against the rat's matted fur, and the rat hissed and sank it's teeth into the leg that had touched it. The horse gave a loud cry, and Vin slipped from the saddle, landing hard on his side. The rat scuttled off, narrowly being missed by a rock Buck threw in anger after dismounting. Unfortunately, the rock hit the flanks of Vin's horse, who decided that he'd had enough, and ran off down the trail, heading in the vague direction of Blue Water.

"Damn, Vin, are you all right?" Buck asked, helping him stand up.

"Yeah," Vin smiled weakly, "Just another damn reason to hate those things. NNNNnnnnnnnn..." he groaned as Buck's fingers touched the side he'd landed on.

Unbuttoning the shirt, and sliding it and Vin's undershirt off, Buck breathed a sigh of relief that nothing seemed to be broken. He'd have to get Nathan to be sure, but he didn't think any of Vin's ribs were cracked, the swelling would be much more pronounced by now. Vin hissed in pain as he gently touched the large bruise that was forming, but he could feel the ribs below, strong as always. Unable to resist, Buck leaned down and gently kissed the injured area. Not letting it become more, he didn't want to stay in this place any longer than he had to, Buck whistled to his horse, not noticing the look of frustration that had nothing to do with his injury on Vin's face, nor the look of mischief that followed a moment later.

"Come on, Vin," Buck said as he offered a hand to pull him up, settling Vin in front of him on the saddle. Vin smiled, this would work for what he had planned.

Vin wriggled around a bit, getting comfortable, and he brushed against Buck's groin several times with his butt, feeling a few flickers of interest. This would be almost too easy. Then again, any of the three of them only had to touch one of the others to get the same reaction. Vin considered the physical impossibility of adding Chris to the mix on the horse, and couldn't help a soft chuckle from escaping.

"You okay?" Buck asked, he had been a little distracted from the movements of Vin below.

"Just fine," Vin grinned at the other man, "Want me to prove it?" and he reached around and kissed Buck. Buck responded, feeling himself harden with the tiny movments of Vin against him, and the feel of the hot mouth against his. Buck made to move the reins, to get the horse to move faster, and Vin stilled his hand, bringing it to his lips and placing a kiss in the palm.

"What?"

"What's your hurry, big guy?" Vin asked, grinding his butt against Buck's erection, causing the other man to groan loudly.

"That's my hurry," Buck replied when he could form words again.

"Y'know," Vin murmured, not relinquishing his hold on Buck's hand, "We don't have to be in such a big hurry..."

"Dammit, you are such a tease sometimes, Vin," Buck chuckled, and reached around Vin, finding the teasing man's erection and rubbing over it gently.

"Mmmmmmmmmmmm," Vin murmured, thrusting gently into the touch, "Just like that, Bucklin, but ya can go a bit faster if ya like...maybe unfasten our trousers?"

Things fell into place at last. Vin wasn't teasing, he was encouraging. On a horse...Buck chuckled, that was probably one of the few places he'd never tried sex. Not that they could actually achieve penetration...not this time, but he'd never thought of sex as the act of entering someone. He thought of sex as the act of giving and receiving pleasure, and he knew Vin was as skilled at that as he was.

"Ya could've said somethin'," Buck murmured against Vin's neck.

"But that wouldn't've been as much fun," Vin replied, carefully moving on the horse, who didn't seem to be spooked by the activity of the two men, so he ended up facing Buck. Buck smiled into those depthless blue eyes, and captured that mouth in a kiss.

As they broke for air, Buck murmured a question.

"Ya done this before, Vin?"

"Kinda...there was no saddle then, but I think it's better with one...we can get closer to each other," and he proved his point by grinding his erection into Buck's groin. The older man groaned and reached for the fastenings of Vin's trousers, knowing he wasn't going to last much longer. As Vin's erection sprang free from the restriction of his trousers, Buck could see pre-cum dripping from him, and he knew Vin was as close to the edge as he was.

With their erections freed, Vin grasped both of them in one hand, and Buck groaned at the touch of his cool fingers on the heated flesh, then he was lost in the gentle thrusting, the friction creating delicious sensations, building to a release that took his breath away as he shouted, then feeling Vin's liquid heat sear him as Vin's release took him.

They slumped together, Buck having enough presence of mind to lean Vin towards him and not the horse's neck, coming down from the heights.

Vin pulled a spare bandanna from his pocket, and cleaned them both, fastening Buck's clothing first, then his.

Then he turned around carefully again, leaning back into the security of Buck's arms, knowing the other man would never let him fall.

Buck chuckled, the breath tickling his ear.

"What?" Vin asked, half-asleep.

"Just wonderin' if Chris'll ever believe this one?"

Vin looked at him, arching an eyebrow.

"Didn't ya ever wonder who I did this with before?"
