Still Still Still

by Amelia

Still, still, still,
One can hear the falling snow.
For all is hushed,
The world is sleeping,
Holy Star its vigil keeping.
Still, still, still,
One can hear the falling snow.

Vin sat alone outside the sleeping town,
A fire built a beacon so to be found,
First one shadow then another to be near,
Until all seven sat in the open and clear. Waiting, keeping vigil as the soft snow fell,
Beauty in its silence, warmth in their bond the time did hail

Sleep, sleep, sleep,
'Tis the eve of our Saviour's birth.
The night is peaceful all around you,
Close your eyes,
Let sleep surround you.
Sleep, sleep, sleep,
'Tis the eve of our Saviour's birth.

They stayed in unity brotherhood in keeping,
A wonder filling them on this night none would be sleeping.
The sky awakening with a brilliant light,
From one holy star above them they saw in their sight.
On this eve when the greatest gift was given to all,
Seven men welcomed its beautiful peace ringing out its call.

Dream, dream, dream,
Of the joyous day to come.
While guardian angels without number,
Watch you as you sweetly slumber.
Dream, dream, dream,
Of the joyous day to come.

Hours later they stood together as one facing the ending night,
Greeting the dawn of this holiest day's first coming light.
Guardian angels they appeared to the eyes of others,
But heaven saw them for what they were, brothers.
Honor in their hearts, faith in their souls in one another belief to say,
Thanking the Father together, united as always on this joyous day.
