Feeling broken
Barely holding on
But there's just something so strong
Somewhere inside me
And I am down but I'll get up again
Don't count me out just yetHis bloody hand crawled higher, searching for a grip. Finding one he pulled his abused worn body up. Forcing his booted foot to find purchase and pushed himself even further toward his goal. Up to the top of the cliff that he was pushed over after being beaten. Waking on the ledge that had stopped the fall to his death, he gathered his strength, ignoring the pain and blood, focused only on what he had to do. Fingers reaching the flat edge of the top, held as the other hand came and grasped the edge, with trembling muscles, the weary body was pulled until laying flat at the top. His eyes only staying open long enough to ensure none of the out law group was around in sight...
I've been brought down to my knees
And I've been pushed way past the point of breaking
But I can take it
I'll be back
Back on my feet
This is far from over
You haven't seen the last of me
You haven't seen the last of mePushing on, blocking any pain, any thoughts of giving in and falling down. Each step felt, each breath drawn purposely. Only thing that mattered in thought was reaching home, protecting the others from the four outlaws that had ridden away with evil grins of how they were going to ambush and kill the others. Not could, not would, not stop till the others were saved.
They can say that
I won't stay around
But I'm gonna stand my ground
You're not gonna stop me
You don't know me
You don't know who I am
Don't count me out so fastWatching the shadow the sun cast, one step one, two step two, left foot forward one, right foot forward too. Sight playing tricks making one into two then into one. But the feelings in the heart beats made the souls one. Single thought, single reason, not running out, not fighting alone. Running to, fighting along side, not aches or pains first, the others come first must save. The words swirled around in side thoughts, giving strength and speed to the steps that kept taking.
I've been brought down to my knees

But I can take it

There will be no fade out
This is not the end
I'm down now
But I'll be standing tall again
Times are hard but
I was built tough
I'm gonna show you all what I'm made ofThe sound, it came, forcing standing straight, determined to face what was coming head on. Watching for the bend to appear. In sight the force of it brought hope to the thoughts, an answer to prayers. With determined strength, pull and mounted. On back of a fiery horse that ran when motioned like wings were spread. Rest was taken as the animal did the work, gathering what would be needed to protect and save brothesr' blood. Odds turning in favor, sight through glass showing not far behind the hearts targets goal.

No no Hear the voices of evil laughter as dismounting behind the livery
I'm not going nowhere Weapons drawn, one shadow becoming two
I'm staying right here Stepping in through the doors behind the four holding guns on the five now unarmed
Oh no “Drop them now,” a growl, “Before we send you miscreants to the devil in Hell” Southern drawled.
You won't see me begging Four fools turn in arrogance thinking they could take to hurt men.
I'm not taking my bow Two standing tall fired, five diving for guns rolled and fired, four never again fired.
Can't stop me Two became one as the leaning was pronounced against the other once more now that it was over.
It's not the end One beaten and thrown, one shot and thought dead, luckily only a graze to the head.
You haven't seen the last of me Five stepped forward encircling their two, helping, protecting their brothers true Oh no Not needing questions to know the answer
You haven't seen the last of me The five knew same as the two, no matter what
You haven't seen the last of me Not could, not would, not stop till the others were saved.
