Disclaimer: Long ago and far away I did own them. But then some very bad people in business suits stole them away. Honest! So now I lay no claim to the characters or concepts of Magnificent Seven. Mog created the ATF universe, for which I am forever grateful. Someone created the slash concept, but I dunno who that was. I reckon they knew what they were doin’ after all!!
Warnings: Explicit M/M sex, now you’ve been warned.
Characters: Chris, Vin and Buck… with a cameo by JD
Notes: Got this plot bunny after reading Annie’s fun little romp, Three Men in a Tub. Thanks Annie!
While this is a stand alone story, you might understand Buck and Vin’s relationship a little better if you’ve read my V/B ficlets, Call My Name and Someone to Lean On.
First Time story for C/V

Chris Larabee rolled over and squinted a look at his alarm clock. The read-out announced the time as 12:48 am. He frowned, wondering what it was that had wakened him. Both Buck Wilmington and Vin Tanner were spending the night at his ranch house, and the three of them were planning to go fishing first thing in the morning. They had all three gone to bed almost three hours earlier, though, and the house was quiet.
Stretching, he pulled himself out of bed and padded from the room to see if anything was amiss. Beginning at the front of the house, he found no sign that there was anything wrong, so he continued on through the darkened hallway.
As he reached the slightly ajar door of the den, he heard the low murmur of voices. He stopped, shaking his head and idly scratching his chest through the thin tee-shirt he wore. Vin had taken the couch, while Buck had taken the guest room. No doubt the young man had fallen asleep with the TV on, which meant that either the Sports Channel or TVLand had interrupted Larabee’s sleep. Reaching for the doorknob, he hesitated as he realized that it wasn’t the TV after all. Peering inside the room, his mouth dropped open then his lips curled into a wicked smile as he saw a pair of familiar silhouettes illuminated in the soft glow of the fireplace.
Buck was on his knees, leaning over Vin, who was on his back. The younger man’s legs were in the air, calves pressed into the other man’s shoulders. And Wilmington was pumping his cock into Tanner’s ass.
“Ah, fuck! Damn… Buck… faster!”
Chris barely suppressed a groan as he watched his oldest friend and his closest friend having sex on the floor before his fireplace. Vin’s head twisted back and forth, his hands fisted in the blankets they were laying on. He was thrusting hard toward the bigger man, grunting as he struggled to take his shaft farther inside himself. On his part, Buck was thrusting faster and harder, growling as he rode the other man toward orgasm.
“C’mon, Junior… yeah, that’s right… give it to me… c’mon… yeah!”
Larabee watched the two men for a few minutes then his hand slid beneath the loose band of his baggy pajama pants. He lightly caressed his own cock as it swelled in response to what he was watching. He took a shuddering breath as his fingers closed around the growing shaft, and he began to pump it in rhythm with the two men he was watching.
Somewhere amidst the fascination and lust, he felt a stab of jealousy. He and Wilmington had shared such moments long ago, before Sarah and a parade of ‘Wilmington’s Women’ led them to end that part of their relationship. Now Buck was engaging in that same sort of intimacy with Vin Tanner… and Chris found himself jealous of that fact.
Inside the den, Buck reached down and closed his hand around Vin’s twitching cock, knowing that the young Texan was close to orgasm. He tightened his grip just enough, then began massaging the swollen shaft. He grinned as he saw the look of intense pleasure on Tanner’s face, and pumped even faster. He thrust his hips forward, feeling his own cock slide past the tight, grasping muscles of the younger man’s ass, feeling his body gathering itself to climax.
In the shadows outside the room, the blond braced himself against the wall, the swollen head of his cock rubbing against the soft material of his pants as he stroked it. The tip of his tongue pressed between tightly pressed lips, wetting the suddenly dry skin. His eyes slanted half shut as pleasure overtook him. Struggling to stay on his feet, his attention was drawn back to the den as the voices of his two friends grew louder.
“Ah… shit… damn!” Buck growled. His body grew rigid as his cock spewed forth its load, only to be captured by the latex sheathing it. He thrust hard inside the other man, his body shuddering then growing still.
“Yeah… c’mon Bucklin… fuck me!” Tanner rasped. He bucked upward until he was balanced with shoulders pressed against the floor and long legs wrapped tight over the bigger man’s shoulders. His cock shot its seed into the air, splattering his belly as well as Buck’s hand.
Slowly the younger man dropped down until his ass rested against Wilmington’s thighs. Both men were panting, their bodies glistening with sweat in the soft golden light.
Larabee bit his bottom lip as his cock wet the front of his pants. Melting against the door facing, he watched through glazed eyes as the two men slowly moved away from one another. Vin sank lethargically against the tangled blankets, while Buck carefully removed the condom he wore. He disappeared from view to dispose of it, then reappeared and dropped down beside the other man. He held a soft cloth, and Larabee watched as he bathed the drying cum from Tanner’s taut belly. The two men were talking softly, and Chris found himself listening carefully, his heart pounding harder as he overheard their conversation.
“You know Junior, much as I’d hate to lose a fuck-buddy, there’s only one thing I can see happenin’ to get that look off your face.”
“What look?” Tanner was stretched out on his back, shaggy head pillowed on his arms.
“That look that says ‘that was fun, but I’m lookin’ for a lot more’. You know as well as I do that there’s only one person on the face of the Earth that’s ever gonna take that look off your face. And lord knows it ain’t me.”
Vin smiled. “You sounded a mite relieved there, pard. Scared I’ll latch onto ya?”
Laughing the big man said, “I could think of worse things in the world, but you and me both know we ain’t got that sort of relationship. And you know as well as I do that there’s only one person you do want that sort of relationship with.”
“Ah, hell, Buck. You're fulla shit.”
“No, I’m not,” Wilmington’s voice grew serious. “I don’t know why you wanna deny what we both know is true.”
Tanner pushed himself to sit beside his friend. Wrapping his arms around raised legs, he dropped his head to his knees. “Y’ know why I do, Buck. I ain’t about to ruin what we do have, tryin’ to get somethin’ I can’t have.”
“Hell, boy, I’ve told you often enough about how things were… before. And I told you, there’s nothin’ that says you can’t have what you’re lookin’ for now.”
With a snort the smaller man said, “Yeah, right. Nothin’ but the fact he used ta be married with a kid. Nothin’ but the fact that he’s got a thing goin’ on with a certain blonde reporter. Nothin’ but the fact – “
“Nothin’ but the fact he’s rode this particular horse down that particular trail before.”
“Yeah, but that was before. He made his decision a long time ago about which side of the fence he wanted ta live on.”
Buck reached over and turned Vin’s face toward him. “Do you love him?”
“Bucklin…”
“Do you?”
Pulling away, Vin’s head dropped. “Ya know damn good and well I do. Ain’t never lied to ya about that.”
Chris found himself unable to concentrate on anything else the two men discussed. It didn’t matter what else they said. Vin Tanner loved him.
Vin Tanner… loved… him!
Larabee wanted to scream it at the top of his lungs. Vin loved him.
He moved away from the door, stumbling down the hallway and out the back door to the deck. Collapsing onto the lounge chair, he realized he wasn’t breathing. Taking a deep, gasping breath, he ran a hand over his face.
His best friend loved him.
What was he going to do now?
~o~
Buck watched as Vin wrapped up in the blankets, drifting to sleep on the big couch. Pulling on a pair of sweats, he moved across to the bar, pouring two glasses half full of scotch. Carrying the glasses, he padded quietly from the room and down the hallway. Carefully pushing open the door, he stepped out onto the deck. Locating his old friend, he said, “Figured I’d find you out here. You always did come here to think.”
Frowning up at the other man, Chris said, “You knew I was there?”
Grinning from beneath his mustache, Wilmington handed over one of the glasses as he said, “You’re not as sneaky as you think you are.”
Feeling a flash of anger, the blond said, “So you two staged that little conversation?”
“Nope,” Buck said, unfazed by his old friend’s glare. “Junior ain’t got a clue you’re awake, let alone that you saw… or heard.”
“Bullshit. He doesn’t miss much of what goes on around him.”
“Yeah, but when he’s twisted up on the inside over how he’s feelin’, and tore up ‘cause he don’t figure he can have what he wants most in the world, he don’t always pay real close attention.”
“He really loves me?”
With a sigh, Buck dropped down onto one of the chairs. Resting his elbows on his knees, he leaned forward and looked deep into the other man’s face. Despite the darkness, he could see the mix of emotions that flitted across the rugged features. “You think he’d be this worked up if he just wanted a quick fuck with you?”
Scrubbing a hand over his face and taking a long swallow from the glass, Larabee shook his head no.
“And you think I’m so dense I haven’t noticed the looks you’ve been givin’ him almost since day one?”
“Now I know you’re full of shit. I didn’t… I wasn’t… there was…” Larabee stuttered, finally stopping, dropping his gaze. “It was that obvious?”
“Well, not to most. God knows you and him didn’t have a clue. Y’ forget sometimes, stud, ain’t no one on the face a this earth that knows you better than me.”
Chris couldn’t help but chuckle at that. Wilmington was right. No one knew him better than Buck. The big man had even seen through him when Sarah couldn’t, had pointed out things that neither of them had been able to see. He might come across as a full of crap, good time guy, but there were depths to him that few people took the time to see. Larabee was once more glad that the ‘big dog’ was in his corner.
“So… what do I do now?”
The bigger man’s smile was wide and compassionate. “Seems to me there’s only one thing you can do, ol’ son.”
The blond dropped back against the cushions with a groan. He ran a hand through his hair, thinking about the decision laid before him. Was he ready to do something like this? Could he commit to something that most people weren’t going to understand, and many would condemn? On the other hand, could he walk away from what every fiber of his being screamed was the relationship he had been searching for?
Could he not tell Vin Tanner that he loved him?
“Buck – “
Wilmington pushed himself up from the chair, tapping glasses with his friend before draining the rest of his drink. “Chris, I’ve said my piece, now you’ve gotta take it from there. I’m takin’ this weary… but devastatingly handsome… body to bed.”
He watched as the big man disappeared into the house, then leaned back and closed his eyes. His mind spun, a kaleidoscope of images crashing against one another as he tried to decipher what course he should proceed down now.
He wasn’t a stranger to same sex relationships he had experimented during his younger days, with Buck mostly. But when Sarah came along, he knew that he wanted to be with her exclusively. When that was taken away from him, he found himself disinterested in having a relationship with anyone. Until Vin. Since the long-haired, mule-stubborn Texan had entered his life, he found himself once again wanting a relationship. But was he strong enough for it?
What was he going to do?
~o~
Vin stretched, yawning as he struggled to shrug off the fog of sleep. He slanted open an eye, trying to decide what had wakened him. He started as he realized someone was sitting at the end of the couch then he slowly relaxed as he realized that it was Chris. “Time t’ get up?”
“Not quite,” Larabee said softly.
Tanner frowned. “Was I snorin’?”
With a soft chuckle, the blond said,“No.”
His mind struggling to make sense of things, the smaller man said, “’s a little early to play twenty questions. Would y’ mind just tellin’ me what you're doin’ in here?”
“Thought maybe we should talk.”
“About?”
Chris rose, took two steps, and dropped to his knees beside the couch. He reached out and gently ran a hand along the other man’s profile. “About us.”
Tanner jerked reflexively, pulling back to stare at the other man with wide, blue eyes. “Wh… what?”
“I know Vin… and it’s time you knew as well.”
“Know what? What the hell are you talkin’ about?” Tanner’s drawl deepened as his anxiety rose.
Larabee’s head dropped and he drew in a long breath. He was handling this all wrong, but he didn’t know any other way out except straight ahead. “I was outside the door… earlier… I saw you and Buck.”
The confused man’s face darkened as he grew angry. Y’ takin’ t’ spyin on me… us? Y’ knew me and Buck’s shared a few nights together. Ain’t neither one of us kept that from y’ – “
Holding up a hand in surrender, Chris said, “I wasn’t going to say anything against that, Vin. Why are you getting so angry?”
“Ain’t angry,” Tanner growled. “Just don’t like the idea of someone watchin’ when I… we…”
Enjoying the blush that crept along the finely chiseled features, the blond teased, “You’ve never watched people making out?”
“No! Just ain’t right!”
Deciding he’d continue that little conversation later, Chris said softly, “I heard what the two of you said… after.”
“Oh? Oh… I… look, y’ want me t’ leave?”
“What? No! Why would I want you to leave?”
“Well, y’ found out I’ve got a thing for y’… seems like y’ wouldn’t be real comfortable with me around now.”
Frowning, the older man said, “You really don’t understand, do you? Vin, the reason I’m sitting here now is… I feel the same way.”
If anything, Tanner’s eyes widened even more. He pushed himself up to sit back against the arm of the couch. Drawing his legs up, he wrapped his arms around them. A thousand questions battered his still foggy mind, each trying to convince him to find answers for them first. He struggled to make sense of it all, but in the end, all he could do was stammer, “Wh…what?”
Oh lord, he was making a complete mess of the entire thing. He should have held off, gotten his thoughts sorted out before he broached the subject with the slender man before him. Now he had Tanner staring at him like a rabbit staring up at a hunter, and ready to bolt at any second. He rose, padded across the room to stand before the fireplace. Scrubbing a hand through his hair, he said finally, “Vin, I’m pretty certain I want the same thing you want, if I understood you earlier. I’d… I’d really like to try making a relationship with you.”
It had to be a joke, a prank. That had to be it. He looked around, trying to find Wilmington, convinced that the big man was in on it, as well. Finding no sign of him, Tanner turned back to face the blond. With a frown, he said, “I don’t get it. What’s the punchline?”
Yeah, he’d really made a mess of things. At this rate they’d be looking for a new sharpshooter by the end of the week. Why did he have to storm into everything head on, without considering the consequences of his actions? The same thing had almost cost him his relationship with Sarah, all those years ago. If Buck hadn’t stepped in…
Buck! “Hang on a minute, I’ll be right back. I’ll prove to you that I’m not kidding around here.”
Vin watched as Chris rushed from the room, shaking his head. Either this was one of the most vivid dreams he’d ever had, or he’d just plain lost his mind. Deciding that he was too tired to figure out which, he slid back down on the couch, pulling the blankets tighter around him. Just as his eyes drifted closed, he heard a commotion in the hallway. Blinking his eyes open again, he watched as Larabee came in, pulling a half-asleep Wilmington behind him. Maybe it wasn’t his sanity in question after all. Wearily dragging himself back up on the cushion, he waited patiently to see what was going to happen next.
“God damn it Chris, couldn’t this wait a couple hours?” Wilmington did not look happy about being dragged out of bed before he could even get the covers warm.
“No, it couldn’t. I need you to help me out here. Would you please tell him I’m not lying to him?” He stared pointedly from Buck to Vin and back again.
Raking his hand through his thick black hair, the big man said, “He ain’t lyin’ to you Vin.”
Larabee heaved a sigh and rolled his eyes. “Yeah, that’s real convincing.”
“What? I did what you asked. Can I go back to bed now?”
“No! Damn it, I need you to explain to Vin that I’m being serious here – “
“He’s bein’ serious, Vin,” Wilmington mumbled sincerely. Then he yawned and asked, “Can I go back to bed now?”
“God damn it Wilmington!”
Deciding that, as much as he was enjoying the floor show, he wasn’t up to the re-creation of ‘Who’s on First’ that was sure to follow, Tanner decided to try and put the other two men out of their misery. Turning to the mustached man, he said softly, “He said he heard what we was talkin’ about earlier. Said he feels the same about me. That true?”
Understanding brightened the dark blue eyes and Buck smiled. “Oh! Well hell, why didn’t he say so? Yeah, he’s bein’ honest, and serious, too, Vin. Been tryin’ to get you two to get on the same wavelength for a good month now. Lord, you two are about as hard headed as I’ve ever seen.”
“Buck,” Tanner started.
“Go to bed,” Larabee finished.
Grumbling his displeasure, the big man shuffled out the door, leaving the other two men facing one another.
“Okay?” Chris asked.
Vin couldn’t help but laugh at that. “Well, reckon yer on the up ‘n up… but I still don’t understand. You were a married man, Larabee… y’ fathered a son. Y’ got Mary Travis and any number a women hot for your body. But y’ wanna hop the fence and bed down with me? I never claimed t’ be the brightest bulb on the tree, but I just can’t git my mind around this.”
Tanner’s drawl was becoming so deep that the blond had to concentrate to understand what he was saying. A sure sign that the man was confused, tired, angry and about a half dozen other emotions. None of them conducive to their having a productive conversation. “Look, I’ve made a total mess of this. Why don’t we just drop it and get some sleep. We can pick it up in the morning.”
The younger man stared, open-mouthed, as his boss and friend turned quickly and all but ran out of the room before he had a chance to answer. The blond was long gone before he croaked out a frustrated, “Chris!”
Flinging back the blankets, Vin managed to untangle his long legs and pull himself to his feet. Anger flared in pale blue eyes as he stomped after the other man, not even thinking of the fact that he was completely nude. With a stiff-legged stride he flew down the hallway, calling out, “Damn your hide, Chris Larabee, get back here! Ain’t nobody sleepin’ til we git this sorted out! Chris! Larabee!”
The blond flinched as his bedroom door crashed open, all but torn from its hinges. Looking up, he saw a lean body, finely sculpted fury, fairly glowing in all its glory. With four quick strides, Tanner crossed the room, eyes flaring with sapphire flames.
“Look, Vin – “
“Shut up!” Unheeding of the look of shock the other man gave him, the Texan continued. “If y’ think fer one minute you can toss somethin’ like that at me, then hi-tail it t’ bed, y’ got another think comin’! Me and you ‘re gonna hash this out, now!”
“But – “
“I ain’t done! Now, if this ain’t a joke, then I wanna know what it is. I want’cha t’ explain how it is yer all of a sudden decidin’ t’ tell me this. I want’cha t’ help me understand how come you're – “
He didn’t know how else to do it, so Chris stopped the other man’s ranting by pressing his lips firmly to the full ones of the man before him. He heard a sharp intake of breath as his actions surprised Tanner. Grasping the lean, well-muscled biceps, he pulled Vin closer.
At first the Texan resisted, still not quite believing that it wasn’t a trick. Then, as the warm mouth silenced him, he found himself leaning forward, seeking more. Of their own volition, his arms slid around the lean, hard body. His hips settled against the hips of the other man, and he moaned softly as he felt both cocks rigid between them.
Finally moving back a step, Chris looked into a pair of hazy eyes hooded and slightly glazed. Stroking a hand down the finely chiseled features, he said softly, “Does that help explain things?”
One corner of his mouth turning up, Tanner said, “Sure goes a long way toward it anyway. Reckon I can ask some more questions later… soon as my head clears.”
Grinning, Chris moved back toward the bed, coaxing the dazed man after him. They sank to the mattress together, long arms and legs entwined. Larabee’s hands began to gently explore the lean body in his arms. He cataloged each gasp and sigh, noting where the other man was ticklish and where he became aroused.
Tanner’s hands began their own work, moving along the hard-muscled body with surprising tenderness. He sought to touch every inch of velvety flesh, committing it all to memory.
Both bodies trembled with unspent desire, the two men aching to find release, but at the same time not wanting the experience to end. The first touch… the first stroke… the first caress.
Finally their carnal desires became too insistent to ignore. Pushing Chris to his back, Vin slid down the well-honed body and took the thick cock in his mouth. His mouth gliding over the heated flesh, he took in as much of the swollen length as he could, then trailed back up to suck hard at the swollen head. At the faint sound of a moan, he looked up to see Larabee watching him, dark eyes hooded.
The blond reached out, lacing long fingers through the tangled tresses. Leaning back on one elbow, he watched in fascination as Vin took him into his mouth. He gasped as he felt the other man’s tongue teasing at his aching head, his hand pressing against him as he coaxed that talented mouth to take him in once more.
Vin continued his assault on the other man’s swollen sex, sliding one hand blindly along one straining thigh as he sought out Larabee’s balls. Reaching the sacs, he began massaging them, squeezing with just enough force to elicit a grunt of pleasure. It didn’t take him long to bring the blond to the precipice. Once there, he pushed him over the edge by taking him in until the thick cock pressed along the back of his throat. Holding it there, he sucked hard then swallowed even harder. At the same time, he gripped the swollen balls, feeling them spasm as they delivered their load. He heard the other man cry out, felt his body jerk and arch off the mattress, at the same time as he tasted the hot, salty cum as it filled his mouth.
Milking the twitching cock and balls until both were emptied, Vin finally released both. Sitting up, he smiled wolfishly at the other man. Chris lay sprawled on the bed, as if his very bones had been melted. Reaching down, he cupped one ruddy jaw, getting the blonde’s attention. “Don’t be goin’ t’ sleep on me here, Larabee. I done my part… time for y’ to do yours.”
Chris reached out, one hand leisurely tracing the outline of the other man’s six pack. Then he moved farther down, slipping into the nest of dark brown curls and then along the thick vein of the man’s hard cock. As Tanner shuddered with pleasure, he smiled, and twisted around so that his head lay against one muscular thigh. Burying his face in the tight curls, he breathed in the heady scent of the man’s musk. His tongue flicked out teasingly again and again, curling against the hard shaft and caressing it.
Raising up, he engulfed Vin’s cock, taking him in as far as he could, then sliding back along the rigid length to tease the velvety flesh of the head. Moving upward, he let go of the pulsing organ completely, hearing the other man moan in frustration. He moved downward, his mouth slowly exploring the lightly furred sacs he found there.
Vin cried out, jerking as the sensations of what the other man was doing threatened to send him over the edge. His body arched, thrusting toward the teasing mouth that was taking him places he had rarely gone before. Places he didn’t even know existed before this minute. Damned if he didn’t half expect to see heaven about any time!
Sensing that the other man was very close to the edge, Chris left the swollen sacs and returned to the hard shaft above. Taking it into his mouth once more he stroked, long and slow then fast and hard until with a cry Tanner filled his mouth with his seed. Savoring it, the blond drank it down, growing drunk on the heady taste.
Finally, sated, the two men stretched out, side by side, on the big bed. Reaching down, Larabee drew up the covers then slipped his arms around the lean body beside him.
Tanner sighed contentedly then shook his head.
“What?” Chris asked.
“Still ain’t fer certain what th’ hell just happened.” The younger man’s voice was filled with wonder.
With a chuckle, the blond said, “Well, reckon we got the rest of our lives to figure it out.”
Yawning, he nestled deeper into the warm embrace. Drifting off to sleep, he managed to agree, “Reckon so.”
Smiling, Larabee rested his check against the thick nest of chestnut waves, and followed close behind in sleep.
~o~
Buck peered in the door, smiling as he watched the two men inside. Etched in the morning sun, they lay curled around one another as only two bodies meant for one another could. Neither of them had moved in the long minutes he had stood there, and he could read the contentment in each sleeping face. The fishing trip was long forgotten, the two of them having far more important things to tend to this weekend.
Nodding to himself, the big man crept away, padding down the hallway. He might miss the free-wheeling, no-holds-barred relationship he had developed with Tanner during the last few months. He might find himself replaced in Larabee’s life as best friend and confidant.
And he couldn’t be happier.
~o~
JD Dunne looked up with a hint of surprise as Buck Wilmington entered the Team Seven suite. He hadn’t expected any of the fishermen to make it into work very early. With a frown, he greeted his friend. “Hey, Buck.”
“Mornin’, Kid,” Wilmington said with a broad smile.
“Well, you’re in a good mood. Does that mean things went well?”
“Couldn’t a gone better.”
“So, what kind of luck did you have?”
His smile growing even broader, the big man said, “Well, Chris an’ Vin each caught a big one.”
When nothing more was forthcoming, the younger agent said, “what about you?”
His smile growing wistful now, the brunet said softly, “well, Kid… I let two get away.”
The End
