Shadows cast by weary souls
Walked silent with their fears

But there came upon the haunted land
A different breed of pain
Seven shadows walked as one
And sought to break the chains

Where missed the one the others caught
Where fell the one the others fought
Where all was dark they burned with light
Where law meant fear demanded right

All turns to dust when hearts are old
And rivers run no more
No, nothing lasts when dreams are cold
