This follows Patience in the M7-SoA crossover A/U. Thanks again to Nancy and Marnie.

Buck closed his cell phone. His face was grim.

"Let me guess," Ezra began.

Buck cut him off. "Shut up, Ezra," he said.

"I won't shut up as you so rudely put it," Ezra replied. "This isn't just about Chris. This is about a debt owed this club," he said. He pulled a small notebook out of his jacket pocket. "A debt that has increased $1100 in the past two weeks."

"You're charging him to be here?" Nathan asked in a disapproving tone.

"I gave him three days," Ezra said, "to settle in, before I started the clock. My obligation is not to Mr. Larabee or to him. My obligation is to this club. If the red light is on, I cannot credit anything to his debt, no matter how many times he goes into that office."

"There is something else to consider," Josiah spoke up.

"What's that?" Nathan asked.

"There have been some unpleasant conversations around the clubhouse," Josiah answered. "Things could get ugly sooner rather than later."

"How ugly?" Nathan asked.

"Very," Josiah said. "For him."

Buck had been monitoring the conversation. Nothing he heard was a surprise to him. "Fucking asshole!" he said looking at Chris' door. "I'll take care of it," he told the others.
