Buck Wilmington walked with a purpose as he made his
way out of the Security Office. One thing was for certain. . .he wasn't going
to be shown up by JD and Billy in the kissing department. Just as he snagged
a piece of mistletoe from the lobby, he ran into his friends Nathan Jackson
and Josiah Sanchez.
"Hey Buck, what's going on?" asked Nathan, the Montecitos on-call
physician.
"Looks like you're a man on a mission," commented Josiah, the Head Valet,
who had noticed the twig of greenery in his friend's hand.
"Got a person in mind for that?" asked Nathan as he nodded towards the mistletoe.
"You could say that," said Buck. "Now if you'll excuse me, gentlemen, I've
got a lady to see."
"Sure thing, good luck," called out Nathan as the two men said goodbye to
their friend.
Buck grinned as he commented to himself, "Buck Wilmington doesn't need luck."
The Hospitality Host glanced around confidently as he slipped into the employee's
only entrance to the club's kitchen and noticed it was currently empty.
Fortunately, it was afternoon and the club was not open yet, so there
werent many people were around.
Luckily, Buck didn't have to wait long before Inez Recillos walked into the
room carrying a tray of clean glasses. As she sat them down on the counter,
Buck said, "Inez."
The young woman jumped at the sudden sound of her name and whirled around
to see the Hospitality Host standing there.
"Buck Wilmington, you nearly scared me to death," said Inez as she placed
a hand over her rapidly beating heart. "Don't you ever do that again. . ."
Buck grinned wryly. "I understand you've been rather free with your kisses
for the younger men around here" He held up the mistletoe and bobbed his
eyebrows." Care to give a little holiday donation to a *real* man?"
Moving him aside to be able to get to the counter, Inez gave him a sideways
glance. "For your information, young Billy is a sweetie and JD is a darling.
As much a man as you are, Buck Wilmington," she looked him in the eye, ".
. .maybe more so. . . At least with JD, what you see is what you get, unlike
some men I could mention."
Keeping the mistletoe up, Buck frowned. "What are you saying?"
Coming close, Inez poked him in the chest. "I'm saying that JD doesn't flit
from one lady to another. He hides nothing. What you see . . ." she punctuated
her words with a pointed finger into Buck's chest, ". . .is. . .what. . .you.
. .get!"
For a moment, Buck was at a loss. He knew she was right, but it was all show.
He would never do that to her. An idea formed and he placed a rolling pin
though the handles to the kitchen doors, effectively locking them, then he
covered the camera with a dishtowel. Inez continued on with what she was
doing and hadn't yet noticed Bucks activities. The host put down the
mistletoe and took off his jacket.
_______________
Up in the monitor room, JD had realized Buck had covered the camera. Chris
had just appeared and was studying the monitors.
"There's a camera down."
JD jumped to his feet. "I know what's happened," he called as he exited the
surveillance room. "I'm on it." He didn't look back to check Chris' reaction.
'Aw hell, Buck . . . what are you up to?'
_______________
Inez turned to see Buck stripped down to his boxers and dress shirt, just
undoing his tie.
"Madre de Dios! What are you doing?"
Buck smirked, continuing to disrobe until all he had left was his boxers
and a cheesy grin. "You wanted to see the real me. This is it. What you see
is what you get." He put his thumb in the top of his boxers.
Inez looked alarmed. "NO! Buck! You can't be serious. Lord knows how many
health code violations we are incurring . . . BUCK!"
With one movement, the boxers were off and Buck Wilmington stood there in
all his naked glory smiling with the mistletoe now between his teeth.
"This is me, darlin' . . . all me. Just say the word, and it's all yours."
_______________
JD had just arrived at the kitchen doors to find he couldn't open them. Peering
in, he caught his breath. "Holy shit!" He turned suddenly as one of the bar
staff attempted to go into the kitchen.
"Er . . . closed . . . er . . . closed. Yeah, essential maintenance . . .
won't be long."
The barman frowned, then shrugged and left. JD remained on guard. "For Christ's
sake. . .hurry up, Buck."
_______________
Inez gasped and placed her hand on her chest. She couldn't help herself as
her eyes roamed his naked torso. He was everything she had imagined him to
be . . . and more. Their eyes locked.
"B . . . Buck . . ."
"Darlin' I'm not asking for a commitment. All I ask is that you believe me
when I say . . . whenever you're ready, I'm here for you."
Before she realized what she was doing, Inez had stepped into his embrace.
Placing her arms around him, she stroked his back and looked up at him. Buck
held her tightly, dropped the mistletoe, lowered his head and they kissed,
slow and deep.
A minute later, they parted, both breathless. Inez stepped back and took
one more look at him. She then picked up a dishtowel and began to whip it
at him over and over.
"Now get your clothes on before you get us closed down and me fired!"
Despite yelping at the stinging blows, Buck was chuckling as he retrieved
his clothes and hastily put them on. Inez watched him attentively. Despite
how she was feeling at that moment, she couldn't help but consider how well
practiced Buck seemed to be in the art of dressing quickly. She threw his
tie to him.
"Now GO!"
Blowing her a kiss, the Hospitality Host removed the rolling pin and exited
the kitchen. And he almost bowled JD over as he did so.
"Everything okay, Buck?"
JD yelped slightly as the older man hugged him tight, released him and then
patted his cheek.
"Never better, li'l bro . . . never better."
Dunne couldn't help grinning as he watched his best friend practically skip
away. He jumped at Chris' voice.
"JD, I thought you were going to sort out the camera?"
The young tech spoke into his comm. "I'm on it!"
JD grinned to himself. Yeah. He'd fix the camera and then it was back to
business as usual . . . whatever that meant in this crazy place!
