"Ice scream," JD said with a grin, which he quickly lost at the non-reaction of his companions. "What? That's funny. What do ghosts serve for dessert? Ice scream. Don't you get it?"

"Yes, Mista' Dunne," Ezra replied, "we get it."

"Well, it's funny!" JD shook his head. "Okay, what do you call two spiders who just got married? Give up? Newlywebs. Ha, ha!"

Vin groaned and shook his head. "Did you boys see the pumpkin carvings in the lobby for the contest?"

"Oh yeah," JD said, "they look awesome."

Ezra nodded, "Definitely have some talented artists participating in this year's contest."

Buck entered the bull pen.

Ezra looked up and gave the Hospitality Host the once-over. "Well, Mista' Wilmington! I see you decided to get into character."

Buck grinned, "What do you think of my costume?" The ladies man did a quick turn to show off his Caribbean pirate costume.

"Wow, Buck! That looks great. But the pirate convention was weeks ago," JD said.

Buck smirked, "That's what gave me the idea, Kid. Inez seems to really go for the pirate lingo, mates." He wiggled his eyebrows.

"And you think you're gonna sweep her off her feet with that outfit?" Vin asked.

"Swarthy and mysterious at the Mystique. How can I miss?" Buck asked.

Ezra opened his mouth to reply when Chris entered the bull pen. "Ezra, Buck – shouldn't you both be downstairs?" Chris did a double-take at Buck's attire. "What are you dressed up for?"

"Halloween, what do you think?" Buck replied.

Chris shrugged, "I thought you were just behind schedule and dressed up for the pirate convention."

Buck made a face at his friends, "Well, since I am helping out with security at the Halloween Party figured I'd fit in better in costume."

Chris nodded, "Good idea, but if you have to arrest anyone, don't use the sword."

Vin and JD burst out laughing.

Buck and Ezra left the bull pen while JD and Vin turned back to the security monitors.

Vin took a handful of candy corn from one of the many bowls of Halloween candy scattered about the surveillance room and stuck it in his mouth.

"Did you know that candy corn was invented in the 1880's?" JD asked.

Vin made a sour face and shook his head, "Well, that explains why that batch tastes a bit stale. Time to break out a new bag."
